Located absolutely on the beautiful Noosa River, and in the heart of Noosaville's "Golden Mile", the Colonial Resort is close by to many fabulous restaurants, shopping and beaches.
These boutique holiday apartments are ideally positioned for easy access to all that the region has to offer.

Blending the charm of East meets West
The Colonial has several 3-bedroom units available that provide spacious interiors, with lift access and walk-in shower recess, as well as features such as lever style taps. All holiday apartments are luxuriously appointed, with everything you need to make your holiday a time to remember.
The grounds and guest facilities are accessible via level pathways and the on-site managers are happy to help if additional support is needed, such as arranging a shower stool or moving a piece of furniture.
The apartments have not been specially adapted for people with disabilities. However, the design is user-friendly for people with limited mobility and offers partial wheelchair access (in living area and main bedroom).
Bedrooms
The main bedroom is large with room to turn a wheelchair around and space beside the bed for transfers or a walking frame. The bed can be moved to provide extra space on a preferred side.

Kitchen, dining room and lounge
All units have a large, fully equipped kitchen and open plan living area. There is an easily accessible pathway to these areas. Other accessibility features include:
- Bamboo (timber style) flooring
- Flick mixer lever style taps in kitchen
- Table height food preparation bench or breakfast bar, with space for knees underneath
- Dining and lounge areas are spacious with room to use and manoeuvre a wheelchair
- Dining table can be accessed from all sides
- Remote control TV and air conditioner
As the apartments are decorated by the owners there may be different styles of furniture in each. If you require a particular type of lounge or casual seating please ask the on-site managers.
The living area opens onto a large outdoor balcony. However there is a small step from the lounge.
Outdoor areas and guest facilities
- The resort has level pathways to all common areas and facilities except a timber sundeck overlooking the pool - this includes level access into the gym and a shade covered Bar-B-Que entertaining area
- Ramps and paths include tactile pavers for people with low vision
- A lagoon style heated pool offers level access (without steps) into the water
- Combined into the resort are a number of specialty businesses including a restaurant, cafe, bakery, hairdresser, beautician and convenience store/deli whose premises are also wheelchair accessible
- A one minute walk will have you at the bus stop where you can travel to theme parks, restaurants or wherever you desire! Book at reception for all your ticket requirements!

Areas that are not accessible
The Colonial Resort offers partial wheelchair access only and is best suited to people with limited mobility or who can walk/transfer short distances.
The reception office interior is small and not accessible for wheelchairs. However, it can be reached without difficulty and an outdoor seating area is available to complete bookings if needed.
There is a single low step at the front door to the apartment and another onto the balcony. A portable ramp can be requested for the front door, but is not suitable for the balcony step.
The bathroom is too small to fit a wheelchair or shower commode. It is possible to use a shower stool in the bathroom (however the shower nozzle is fixed at standing height and there are no grab rails available). A spa bath is also a feature but has steps.
Gym equipment, while accessible, is not suited for wheelchair use and the outdoor kitchen (in the Bar-B-Que area) is also not designed for wheelchairs (although the area itself is very accessible). The only guest area that cannot be reached in a wheelchair is a small timber sundeck.
