Welcome to Accessible Noosa

Noosa Shire is one of Australia's most accessible and livable communities. Noosa Council have made access and equity a high priority, with an emphasis on 'equitable access to the facilities, amenities and services of the Shire for all its residents and visitors'. For this reason Noosa is a popular destination for people with disability, seniors and families.

Access Noosa is a project of e-bility Pty Ltd. The Accessible Noosa database is being developed as a comprehensive 'one-stop' access guide for people holidaying and living in Noosa Shire and surrounding areas of Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Your feedback and ideas are welcome.

Keep Noosa Special

The Local Government Reform Commission has recommended that Noosa be amalgamated with Maroochy and Caloundra Shires to form a Sunshine Coast Regional Council. If you are a Noosa resident or simply passionate about Noosa and concerned about these changes then you can stay informed of developments and have your say via the Keep Noosa Special website.

Message from the Mayor

Noosa Shire is a destination for everyone and we are doing our very best to make it an accessible destination as well. Noosa residents really love the place where they live and want other people to be able to love it as well. To this end we are encouraging local businesses to become access-friendly, have published our Access Friendly Noosa Guide and even have beach wheelchairs.

Lots of the information you may need you will find on this website. Hope it helps you to have a great holiday.

Bob Abbot,
Mayor of Noosa
