Situated at Munna Point on the river bank, the Council run Noosa River Caravan Park faces north with uninterrupted views across the water to North Head. The pelicans are regular visitors at the nearby foreshore Day Picnic Area and at days end there are magnificent sunsets to enjoy.

Facilities
The park grounds are level, with sealed roads connecting the reception, amenities block, outdoor kitchen, tent area, powered and unpowered sites.
- The office and convenience store have ramp access with tactile pavers for people with vision impairment and a sliding door to enter
- An accessible outdoor kitchen is available for guests, including gas burners with dials at the front and a sink with lever tap
- Camp sites are level with grass cover in most places
- The cement foundations for some of the caravan sites have been extended to provide easier access for wheelchair users
- There is one front loading washing machine available (most are top loading with settings at the back)
- Public phones are available in Russell street and there is a level pathway, although the phones are at standing height
Bathroom and toilet amenities
There are male and female accessible bathrooms available, with adapted toilet and shower facilities.
- Keyed door lock with lever handle
- Door opening 860 mm
- A slatted bench is mounted on the wall beside the shower (height 550 mm)
- Plastic shower seat available if needed
- Adjustable height hand held shower nozzle
- Female bathroom has a flick mixer lever tap in the shower (male bathroom are a knob control for the water mixer)
- Hand basin has knob taps and is open underneath allowing access from a seated position
- Both toilets have an angled grab rail (positioned on right in female toilet and left in male toilet) - the male toilet has two additional horizontal grab rails fitted on the wall behind the toilet to the right side
- Toilet height: 430 mm
Areas that are not accessible
The onsite managers are happy to discuss any access requirements you might have and where possible will install the necessary modifications. Currently:
- The toilet is positioned at 45° to the corner and is not suitable for an over-toilet commode
- Power points are at standing height above basin
- The laundry block has an 85 mm step and benches/wash basins are not easily accessed from a wheelchair
- Camping areas are sandy with grass cover that may pose difficulties for wheelchair users
Tariffs (effective from 1 July 2006)
Daily rates for powered sites are $28.50 (low season) $34.50 (peak) or unpowered $22.00 (low season) $28.50 (peak) for 2 occupants or less.
Weekly rates start at $154.00 for an unpowered site in low season up to $241.50 for a powered site in peak season.
