City trains

Regular Citytrain services run to Nambour from Central station and Caboolture on weekdays and weekends. These link with Sunbus connections to Noosa.

All trains are wheelchair accessible except for the Inter City Express. It is advisable to check with Nambour station that the train you wish to catch can accommodate passengers in wheelchairs.

Brisbane Central Station and Nambour Passenger Railway Station are fully accessible with wheelchair access public toilets (open when station is attended).

Tilt trains

Both the electric tilt train to Maryborough and Rockhampton and the diesel tilt train to Cairns stop at Nambour. They have allocated spaces for passengers in wheelchairs and provide accessible toilet facilities. Food service and free onboard entertainment is provided.

Bookings are essential and can be made at Nambour station or the Brisbane customer contact centre freecall 132232.

South East Explorer Ticket

These tickets give you unlimited, all day travel on trains, ferries and participating buses in South East Queensland between Coolangatta and Noosa and west to Helidon. Full price and concession fares are available. Tickets can be purchased from ticket resellers or Queensland Rail contact (07) 3235 5555 for more information.
