As 'The Passenger People' we endeavour to provide every convenience possible to our passengers.
Assisted airport transfers for people with limited mobility
As well as our usual door-to-door airport transfers, Airlink Transfers are happy to offer a new, special service for passengers with minor disabilities. The Assisted Transfer Service operates between Brisbane Airport and the Sunshine Coast.
We have no fixed timetable or route, but travel to suit flight times for passengers. This flexibility allows us to wait a reasonable time for delayed flights, then make best possible alternative arrangements for longer delays. Passengers are not left stranded at the airport.
Comfort
Our vehicles provide easy, wide door access for passengers with limited mobility but are not wheelchair accessible. We use air-conditioned, seat-belted Tarago people movers for greater comfort than in a bus - almost a limousine service at bus prices!
Assisted transfers
Passengers are met inside the terminal and assisted with carrying their luggage to the vehicle. Names are displayed on our board for easy identification:
- Domestic - at the luggage carousel
- International - near Travellers Information Desk
Our drivers then assist you right to reception at your accommodation or your front door.
On return to the airport, our drivers will be happy to escort passengers into the terminal, carrying their luggage. They will also assist with checking in and seat allocation if necessary.
Cost
Because this service requires us to park and vacate the vehicle (at a fee charged by Brisbane Airport Corporation), and extra time for the driver, we must reluctantly add this cost to our fare structure.
